⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I highly recommend Chuck’s Garage in Lansing. We brought our Jeep in with some pretty complicated electrical/computer issues. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to repair the actual problem because the vehicle’s computer was doing some crazy things, including identifying the Jeep as a 2065 model year. What impressed me was how much effort they put into figuring it out. They kept the Jeep for a couple of days, troubleshot everything they reasonably could, and even installed a brand-new battery to see if that would correct the issue. When it didn’t, they removed the new battery and put ours back in. Throughout the entire process, they called us every day with updates and explained exactly what they were finding and what stage they were at. I honestly can’t remember dealing with a repair shop that communicated that well. What really earned my respect was when they determined the issue was beyond what they could properly repair, they didn’t charge us anything — not even a diagnostic fee. I had an oil change and general inspection done at the end of April. They were quick and diagnosed pretty much everything that was actually wrong with the car. However, there are some notable issues with this company if you want to do more than just a simple oil change (which I can recommend, they were fast and cheap). The pricing of parts was up charged significantly from regular MSRP. It is to the point where it is roughly 100%. At least in my experience. A 60 dollar serpentine belt and a 200 dollar water pump must be some pretty high quality parts (if they actually cost that much, which they definitely don’t). They also are very stingy when it comes to providing part numbers when asked. I’m not familiar with the law at all but it feels bad to ask something so simple and be met with silence. Beyond that, there was some further issues with parts that made me question the shop a bit. They wanted to replace the drive belts (which they did need and I have since done) but didn’t want to replace the tensioner (which I have also done)? They wear at the same rate and yet it was never discussed. The tensioner was as original as the belt. It makes me question their thoroughness. Why would

Highly recommend I will not take my car anywhere else . The reminders of repairs is part of the great service. They are so knowledgeable and explain to you why something is need of repair or replacement. They have a great team in place work ethic that shows as I wait in the waiting area. The coupons are a plus too!

I've been using Chucks for my repairs over the last few years and really appreciate their fair pricing and *GREAT COMMUNICATION.* Having the option to review recommendations for my car online in addition to them being available over the phone has been really nice. The most recent repair was to an airbag component inside my steering wheel. They caught a small problem before it turned into a major and very expensive electrical repair - very grateful!

I got a pre-purchase inspection and then had some warranty work done at Chucks Garage. Jeff up front was great and very helpful. Chris is another guy up front and he was also great but Jeff is the guy who mostly helped me! They seem like a good and fair shop, will definitely go back to them if I need any work done.
